What is DO YOU? The DO YOU project began as a way for me to reconnect with my passion for photography. I went through a phase where I felt pretty stuck creatively, and out of that frustration, this project was born—a genuine desire to dive back into something I truly love. It made me realize how many people don’t pursue what makes them happy, and I thought, why not use this project to inspire others to embrace what makes them feel like themselves? This is my way of encouraging everyone to "do what makes you, YOU" more!
ARMANI DOING A FASHION SHOOT:
“If I could live my dream life, I would LOVE working in the fashion industry. Living in a city where fashion isn’t just a thing but THE thing. Being surrounded by a diverse crew of creatives -all doing different things to contribute to what makes fashion FASHION - designing, photography, curating, modelling, editing and marketing. Just thinking about this makes me so excited & that is why I LOVED doing this mini project with one of my dearest friends, Suzanne. Especially since she is the number one person I would want on my creative team.
This is exactly what I love about fashion: wearing and having the clothes I love photographed, putting together outfits with Suzanne and collaborating my simplistic style with her more fun & artsy touch. Thinking of lighting and poses together & creating these beautiful images in such a simple space as my one bedroom flat. It is so cool & exciting to see what you can create when you put your ideas together!
True to myself this “quick 30min shoot” turned into a proper 4 hour Zara-style studio shoot, including some poses that had my back in spasms the next day. Still loved every second of it! This is my ultimate career goal. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of this dream”
