In January of 2025 I was carrying a lot, and I knew the only way to release it was to create with it. As the year went on, life got busy (as it always “tends to do” when we fear something). At some point, I thought… alright, next year. And then the invitation came: to be part of this group exhibition. I knew immediately - this was it. No more postponing. Just do it. Get it out. So that’s what I did. I sat with all the selves I’ve been over the past 8.5 years, and together we made these works. There is something profoundly healing about creating something so vulnerable and intimate, laying it bare before the world, and then being met with hugs and the sharing of stories in return. Pure JOY!!
