Caregiver’s Gift gives thanks to the caregivers of the Sediba Hope Medical Centre through celebrating their human qualities. The caregivers of Sediba are the women and men who venture into the streets of Pretoria with the purpose of helping the people living on these streets. This artwork represents the body and helping hand of the caregiver, drawn in a textbook style covering medicine boxes. In this artwork, however, the usual Latin muscle names become human qualities – loving, tender, kindness. All the qualities that the caregivers possess. As they move and breathe these qualities this work celebrate them for it!
